Job summary

PayPal in New York City seeks a strong product leader to build scalable developer experiences for Pay Later integration across APIs, SDKs, and third-party platforms. You’ll own how merchants discover, evaluate, integrate, and go live with PayPal BNPL offerings.

You’ll create patterns, guides and workflows, partnering with data science, design, and strategy teams to balance architecture, speed, and profitability while enabling large merchants to embed BNPL into their checkout experience.

Qualifications

• 8+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree OR any equivalent combination.
• Experience developing, launching, and scaling BNPL products.
• Demonstrable experience in SDK and API development.
• Proven ability to leverage artificial intelligence to improve product development and delivery.
• Self-directed and adaptable, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Drives product strategy with cross-functional stakeholders consistent with the shared vision for the product or enabling platform.
• Plans and implements the architectural roadmap balancing innovative design and regulatory requirements, time-to-market, and profitability.
• Assesses customer experience and needs in product requirements and decision making.
• Sets up data gathering mechanisms relative to metrics informing product success.
• Leads workstreams including analytics, customer discovery, market research and competitive analysis.
• Oversees product profitability measures, including budget.
• Plans operational mechanisms driving execution and accountability including Product/Operating/Business Reviews.
• Interfaces with product and technology leadership as needed.
• Partners with content strategists, data scientists, designers and UX researchers.
