WSP in the U.S. seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Facilities Division with locations in Boise, ID, Madison, WI, Austin, TX, Houston, TX, or Overland Park, KS. Remote work is possible for the right candidate.

You will lead complex mechanical designs across food & beverage, federal, and industrial facilities, overseeing data analysis, design, procurement, and construction phases, while mentoring staff and coordinating with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field required; multi-state license preferred.
• 10+ years in refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, and utility piping design with independent judgement.
• Experience with building/infrastructure design and approvals, and safety/compliance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Oversee mechanical design and construction of complex building projects from inception to completion.
• Coordinate plans, budgets, and schedules; lead subcontractors and staff.
• Provide high-level technical guidance on HVAC, hydronics, and plumbing systems; ensure permit readiness.
• Mentor staff and stay current with mechanical engineering practices and codes.
