Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, and utility piping design.
  • Engineering license (multi-state preferred).
  • Proficient in building and infrastructure design, project management, and permitting.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, analyze data from site surveys, blueprints, schematics, and drawings to support project development, design, and construction.
  • Apply advanced mechanical engineering techniques to identify improvements for building and infrastructure projects across concept, design, procurement, construction, and operation.
  • Conduct investigations of site conditions, equipment, and systems, ensuring compliance with relevant rules and permits.
  • Develop construction plans, specifications, cost estimates, safety and phasing plans, and update layouts with owners and sub-consultants.
  • Lead mechanical design and construction from inception to completion for rehabilitation, reconstruction, and new builds.
  • Implement advanced technologies and design standards for proper installation and functioning of equipment and systems.
  • Provide technical assistance on temperature control, air distribution, hydronics, and plumbing systems.
  • Direct large-scale projects, overseeing budgets, timelines, subcontractors, and QA/QC.
