Job summary

WSP USA Facilities Division seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join one of multiple U.S. locations (Boise, Madison, Austin, Houston, Overland Park) with open remote option for the right candidate.

The role covers design, analysis, and project leadership across food & beverage, federal, and industrial facilities. The successful candidate will lead high-level HVAC, plumbing, hydronic, and associated systems design, manage complex projects, mentor staff, and ensure regulatory compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
• 10+ years experience in refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, and utility piping design.
• Engineer license required (multi-state preferred).
• Strong knowledge of building and infrastructure design and related codes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee mechanical design and construction of building and infrastructure projects.
• Lead complex design and project budgets, tracking hours and expenses.
• Coordinate with owners, other disciplines, and subcontractors.
• Ensure compliance with codes and safety requirements.
• Mentor staff and support professional development.
