Job summary

Pickett, an ESP Associates company, seeks a Lead Engineer to provide leadership and senior-level engineering expertise on complex utility distribution projects. You will guide a team of engineers, technicians and drafters, ensuring quality and on-time delivery while meeting client requirements.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, a PE is preferred, and 10+ years of overhead and underground distribution experience in the electric utility sector.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification preferred.
• 10+ years of overhead and underground distribution engineering experience in the electric utility industry required.
• Strong knowledge of electrical design and distribution equipment.
• Familiarity with CSA/IEC/NESC standards.
• Experience with distribution design and project leadership.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of engineers, technicians, and drafters.
• Communicate clear expectations, goals, and vision.
• Manage performance and delegate project work.
• Motivate, coach and mentor team members.
• Manage projects, ensure quality and on-time delivery.
• Review and approve engineering design submittals.
