Job summary

Pickett, an ESP Associates company, is seeking a Lead Engineer to provide leadership and senior-level engineering expertise on complex utility distribution projects. The role requires supervising a team, ensuring client requirements, quality, and schedules are met, and keeping input valued across the group.

You will manage distribution design for overhead and underground facilities, review submittals, and mentor staff while maintaining safety and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; PE preferred.
• Minimum 10 years in overhead/underground distribution engineering for electric utilities.
• Strong knowledge of electrical design and distribution equipment.
• Familiarity with CSA/IEC/NESC standards and codes.
• PLS-CADD knowledge preferred; other design tools welcome.

Responsibilities

• Supervise engineers, technicians, and drafters and set performance expectations.
• Ensure project quality and on-time delivery, and align with client requirements.
• Review engineering design submittals and provide guidance.
• Develop and maintain long-term client relationships and proposals.
• Mentor team members and drive engagement and excellence.
