Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking a Staff Communication Systems Modeling & Simulation engineer to drive design, development, integration and validation of communications systems for satellites and airborne platforms.

You will apply advanced systems engineering to guide programs from concept through verification and production, collaborating across systems, software, RF, electrical, mechanical, integration and test teams.

Qualifications

8–12 years of systems engineering experience for bachelor's degree, or 3–5 years for PhD.
Advanced knowledge of communications systems and system architecture.
Proficiency in modeling, simulation, analysis, and requirements management.
Experience with digital communications, RF fundamentals, and interoperability.
Proficiency with modeling tools and collaboration platforms.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of communications system architectures, interfaces, subsystems, and performance models.
Guide system modeling, link analysis, performance evaluation, trade studies, simulation, and system integration.
Develop architectures and technical solutions that satisfy product and system requirements.
Lead modeling and simulation workflow automation and reuse across programs.
Conduct verification, validation, testing, simulation, and troubleshooting across development programs.
Prepare technical documentation, interface control documents, and engineering reports.
Lead design reviews, investigations, and customer technical discussions.
