CesiumAstro is seeking a Communication Systems Engineer Modeling & Simulation II to design, develop, integrate, and test communications systems for space and airborne platforms. You will apply systems engineering to improve performance across the product lifecycle and work across systems, software, RF, electrical, mechanical, and test teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in a related engineering field with 2–5 years of experience in communications systems engineering.
• Strong knowledge of system architecture, requirements development and interface management.
• Experience with modeling, analysis tools, simulation methods, and engineering analysis.
• Understanding of digital communications, RF fundamentals, and system integration.
• Familiarity with modeling and simulation, configuration management, and collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop communication system architectures, interfaces, and subsystems.
• Perform system modeling, link analysis, performance evaluation, and simulation.
• Review requirements, architecture docs, and technical results for implementation.
• Contribute to digital modeling and simulation ecosystem for trade studies.
• Identify workflow automation to streamline modeling and re-use techniques.
• Verify, validate, test, and troubleshoot system components and integrations.
• Analyze results and recommend improvements; support engineering changes.
• Prepare interface control docs and verification reports.
• Collaborate across systems, software, RF, electrical, mechanical, and test teams.
