Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking a Communication Systems Engineer Modeling & Simulation II to design, develop, integrate, and test communications systems for space and airborne platforms. You will work across systems, software, RF, electrical, mechanical, and test teams from concept through production.

The role emphasizes modeling, analysis, verification, and documentation, with opportunities to contribute to continuous improvement and a robust digital modeling ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aerospace, electrical, systems, computer engineering or related field with 2–5 years of related experience.
• Working knowledge of communications systems, systems engineering principles, architecture, and interface management.
• Experience with systems modeling, link analysis, performance evaluation, simulation tools, and engineering analysis methods.
• Understanding of digital communications, RF fundamentals, networking concepts, signal processing, and system integration.
• Knowledge of systems engineering processes, verification methodologies, and requirements management.
• Familiarity with modeling and simulation, product development, configuration management, and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the design and development of communications system architectures, interfaces, subsystems, and performance models.
• Perform system modeling, link analysis, performance evaluation, trade studies, simulation, and system integration activities.
• Review system requirements, interface specifications, architecture documentation, analytical results, and technical documentation.
• Leverage a digital modelling and simulation ecosystem to model communication system architecture for trade studies and requirements.
• Identify workflow automation opportunities to streamline modeling and simulation processes.
• Perform verification, validation, testing, simulation, integration, and troubleshooting activities.
