Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking a Communications Systems Engineer Modeling & Simulation II to join our team in Austin. You will help design, develop, integrate, and test communications systems across products and platforms.

Work with systems, software, RF, electrical, mechanical, integration and test, quality, and program teams through the full lifecycle to improve performance and enable robust modeling and simulation workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aerospace, electrical, systems, computer engineering or related field; 2–5 years of related experience, or a Master's with 0–3 years in communications systems engineering.
• Working knowledge of communications systems, systems engineering principles, and interface management.
• Experience with system modeling, link analysis, performance evaluation, simulation tools, and engineering analysis methods.
• Understanding of digital communications, RF fundamentals, networking concepts, and signal processing.
• Familiarity with modeling, simulation, configuration management, and multidisciplinary engineering collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop communications system architectures, interfaces, subsystems, and performance models.
• Perform system modeling, link analysis, performance evaluation, trade studies, and integration tasks.
• Review requirements, specifications, architecture documentation, and analytical results.
• Develop and maintain a digital modeling and simulation ecosystem for architecture trade studies and new business opportunities.
• Identify workflow automation to streamline modeling and simulation processes.
• Support verification, testing, and root cause investigations across the product lifecycle.
