Job summary

SES Constructors LLC is seeking a Lead Estimator for our growing civil construction business line. The role focuses on producing detailed estimates from plans and specs, managing quantity takeoffs, and coordinating with a team of professionals.

Remote work is available with EST or CST alignment, and occasional travel may be required. The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of heavy civil estimating experience, a construction management or civil engineering degree, and proficiency with Bid2Win and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or civil engineering required.
• Minimum 10 years estimating experience in heavy civil construction.
• Experience estimating federal projects preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret contract documents, drawings, specs, and schedules.
• Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets, word processing, CPM scheduling, and estimating software (Bid2Win, HCSS).

Responsibilities

• Produce self-perform heavy civil cost estimates based on project size and scope.
• Provide accurate quantity takeoffs and material cost estimates.
• Identify, source, and analyze subcontractor and vendor quotes.
• Assess risks and develop mitigation plans.
• Prepare and submit inquiries to clients regarding drawings and scopes of work.
• Collaborate with project team to prepare estimates and meet submission deadlines.
