Job summary

ZefSci seeks an experienced Senior LC MS Field Service Engineer to support Thermo Fisher mass spectrometry customers across the Greater Boston region. You will install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and optimize advanced LC MS instrumentation in customer laboratories.

Travel about 20% regionally; strong customer-facing and diagnostic skills are essential to ensure instrument uptime and performance. Experience with Orbitrap systems and Tribrid platforms is highly desirable, with a focus on

Qualifications

• Must have 6+ years of mass spectrometry field service experience.
• Experience supporting Thermo Fisher MS instrumentation in customer labs.
• Advanced troubleshooting, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs in LC-MS environments.
• Proven ability to independently manage complex service work and resolve instrument issues.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, qualify, upgrade, and service Thermo Fisher LC MS systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs in customer labs.
• Support Orbitrap platforms, including Astral and Exploris systems.
• Use service software to identify and resolve hardware issues.
• Provide timely technical support across the assigned territory.
• Maintain service records, documentation, and reports.
