Job summary

SCIEX, a Danaher operating company, is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, maintain, and repair mass spectrometers, HPLC and capillary electrophoresis systems at customer sites, including strategic accounts. The role covers the DC metro area and can be performed with remote work options.

The ideal candidate will have LCMS/capillary electrophoresis experience, an appropriate degree, and the ability to travel up to 50% with a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree (A.S./A.A.S) or Bachelor’s degree (B.S./B.A.) in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Engineering or equivalent experience (i.e. Military Certificates in electronics or avionics).
• LCMS and/or capillary electrophoresis experience is required, prior experience using and/or servicing mass spectrometry or scientific instrumentation.
• Meet Vendor Credentialing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintains, installs, and repairs instrumentation at internal and external customer sites, including strategic accounts.
• Works independently to resolve customer and technical issues; mentors and develops less experienced staff.
• Reports to District Service Manager as part of Field Technical Service organization.
