Job summary

Rocket Lab USA is seeking a Senior Vehicle Integration Engineer to drive the integration, testing, and launch of the Neutron launch vehicle. You will develop processes, design and build ground support tooling, and work closely with the team to ensure successful vehicle integration and testing.

The role requires a BS in aerospace/mechanical/manufacturing engineering, 5+ years of hardware experience, and the ability to author detailed procedures for assembly, test, and launch.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aerospace, mechanical, or manufacturing engineering.
• 5+ years of experience building and testing hardware for launch vehicles and environments.
• Proven ability to author comprehensive work instructions and procedures for assembly, test, and launch.
• Proven ability to interface with mechanical, electrical, and fluid systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop con-ops, ground support tooling, and processes for Neutron vehicle components and stages.
• Develop and execute procedures for integrating Neutron flight hardware with ground support equipment.
• Support daily execution of Neutron vehicle integration, propellant system, avionics, and AFTS.
• Create and maintain work procedures, documentation of non-conformances, and system improvements.
• Maintain planning documents including vehicle configurations and scope.
