Job summary

Rocket Lab USA is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II for the Neutron program to drive assembly, integration, and testing of the Neutron launch vehicle.

You will develop ground support tooling, write procedures, and collaborate across mechanical, electrical, and propulsion teams to ensure safe, efficient processing from receipt to launch.

You’ll manage multiple priorities, maintain documentation, and contribute to continuous improvements in production tooling and processes.

Qualifications

  • BS in aerospace, mechanical, or manufacturing engineering is required.
  • 2+ years of experience building and testing hardware for launch vehicles and their environments.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in authoring comprehensive work instructions and procedures for assembly, test, and launch.
  • Ability to interface with multidisciplinary functions of mechanical, electrical, and fluid systems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop con-ops and build ground support tooling for Neutron vehicle components and stages.
  • Develop and execute procedures for integration of Neutron flight hardware and ground support equipment.
  • Assist in day-to-day execution of 1st and 2nd stage integration, propellant system, avionics, and AFTS; refine inspections and test procedures.
  • Create and maintain vehicle maintenance architecture, build flow, and test operations for efficiency.
  • Design, develop, and maintain tooling and facilities for Neutron processing and assembly.
