Job summary

Rocket Lab in Virginia is seeking a Senior Vehicle Integration Engineer to lead integration, test, and launch activities for the Neutron launch vehicle. You will develop ground support tooling, procedures, and vehicle integration plans, working with cross-disciplinary teams.

The role requires a BS in engineering, 5+ years of launcher hardware experience, and the ability to author detailed work instructions. This on-site position offers robust compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• BS in aerospace, mechanical, or manufacturing engineering is required.
• 5+ years building and testing hardware for launch vehicles and environments.
• Proficiency in authoring comprehensive work instructions and procedures for assembly, test and launch.
• Ability to interface with mechanical, electrical, and fluid systems cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Develop con-ops and ground support tooling for Neutron vehicle components.
• Develop and execute procedures for integration of flight hardware and ground support equipment.
• Support Neutron Integration Manager in day-to-day vehicle integration, propellant, avionics, and AFTS tasks.
• Design and implement inspection, repair/retrofit, and test procedures; maintain vehicle configurations.
• Create, own, and improve work procedures; document non-conformances into actionable items.
