Job summary

Rocket Lab in the United States is seeking a Vehicle Integration Engineer I to lead integration, testing, and launch activities for the Neutron launch vehicle. You will develop ground support tooling, write assembly and test procedures, and collaborate closely with mechanical, electrical, and fluids teams.

The role requires a BS in aerospace, mechanical, or manufacturing engineering with 2+ years of hardware build/test experience and strong written procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in aerospace, mechanical, or manufacturing engineering required.
• 2+ years of experience building and testing hardware for a launch vehicle.
• Proven ability to author comprehensive work instructions and procedures for assembly, test, and launch.
• Ability to interface with mechanical, electrical, and fluid systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop con-ops and design/build ground support tooling and processes for Neutron vehicle components and stages.
• Develop and execute procedures for integration of Neutron flight hardware and ground support equipment.
• Support Neutron Integration Manager in day-to-day vehicle integration, propellant system, avionics, and AFTS.
• Maintain and refine vehicle checkouts and system-level testing procedures.
