Qualifications

• Commercial collections experience in B2B working capital, equipment finance, or financial services is required.
• 5+ years of commercial collections experience and negotiating settlements is preferred.
• 5+ years of advanced skip tracing experience preferred; financial services experience strongly preferred.
• Strong negotiation, verbal communication, time management, organizational, and multitasking skills; attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with Salesforce, Aspire, and collection dialer systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of delinquent equipment finance and working capital accounts.
• Set payment expectations and hold customers accountable for commitments.
• Use negotiation, persuasion, and objection-handling to secure payments or settlements.
• Maintain professional interaction with customers while staying firm on collection position.
• Negotiate payment arrangements within authority and obtain approvals.
• Reassess strategy for missed payments and escalate when needed.
• Determine causes of delinquency and develop recovery strategies.
• Escalate accounts to appropriate internal partners when needed.
• Conduct extensive skip tracing to locate customers and verify contacts.
• Document all collection activity accurately and timely.
• Maintain urgency and prioritize accounts by risk and collectability.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and collection procedures.
• Prepare accounts for charge-off review with complete documentation.
