Job summary

American Family Insurance Claims Services, Inc. is seeking a lead-level field property claims adjuster in Washington state. The role involves complex homeowner claims, on-site inspections, and high-exposure loss handling.

You will work closely with insureds, claimants, attorneys, and other professionals in a field-driven environment. We require 5+ years in field property personal lines claims, strong knowledge of endorsements and coverage, and advanced Xactimate skills.

Qualifications

• 5 or more years' experience handling field property personal lines claims required.
• Advanced Xactimate experience required.
• Prefer someone who has handled claims over $50,000.

Responsibilities

• Investigates origin and cause of high exposure claims by contacting insureds, claimants, agents, attorneys, contractors, experts, and other adjusters.
• Conducts on-site inspections when needed and negotiates with insureds, claimants, and attorneys.
• Interprets policy coverages and applies them to assigned losses while providing status updates to all parties.
