Job summary

American Family Insurance is seeking a lead level Field Property Claims Adjuster for Washington. You will investigate high exposure homeowner claims in the field, conduct on-site inspections, and negotiate settlements with insureds and attorneys.

You will work under a Senior Manager and may travel to office locations for meetings and trainings. The role requires extensive Xactimate use, 5+ years of field property claims experience, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience handling field property personal lines claims.
• Advanced Xactimate experience required.
• Demonstrated ability to provide customer-driven solutions and services.

Responsibilities

• Investigates origin and cause of high exposure claims and checks for prior claims.
• Performs on-site inspections and negotiates claim outcomes with insureds or parties involved.
• Interprets policy coverages and applies them to assigned losses; mentors less experienced adjusters.
