American Family Insurance is seeking a lead-level Senior Property Claims Adjuster in Washington to investigate and settle complex homeowner claims. The role is primarily field-based, including on-site inspections, arranging appraisals, and making independent, well-supported decisions.

Travel is required up to 50% and up to 75% during catastrophe periods. Strong Xactimate skills, state licensing, and relocation support are required and offered where eligible.

Qualifikationen

• Advanced Xactimate experience required.
• 5+ years' experience handling field property personal lines claims required.
• Prefer someone who has handled claims over $50,000.

Aufgaben

• Investigates origin and cause of high exposure claims by contacting insureds, claimants, agents, attorneys, contractors and others.
• Participates in High Damage Reviews (HDR) to address coverage issues and exposure.
• Handles both 1st party and 3rd party claims under multiple policy types and endorsements.
• Conducts on-site inspections when needed, evaluates damages and negotiates with insureds and attorneys.
• Responds to customer inquiries and closes files as needed.
