Job summary

Accenture is seeking a Senior Ontologist and Knowledge Architecture Lead to own ontology governance, modeling strategy, and the technical direction of a cross‑functional team across business, data engineering, and AI/ML.

The role drives end‑to‑end ontology lifecycle, alignment with enterprise semantics, and governance standards, while partnering with NLP/AI teams to enable knowledge graphs and data-driven AI applications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 years hands-on experience in ontology engineering or knowledge modeling in large environments.
• Experience owning and delivering production-grade ontologies in Agile or iterative delivery contexts.
• Leadership experience with technical standards, team development, and roadmap ownership.

Responsibilities

• Own ontology lifecycle from requirements to deployment and long-term stewardship.
• Define enterprise ontology architecture and alignment with upper ontologies.
• Lead governance, reviews, and sign-off with business and technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with NLP/AI teams to integrate ontology-guided information extraction.
