Job summary

Accenture is seeking a Senior Ontologist and Knowledge Architecture Lead to own the design, governance, and delivery of enterprise knowledge graph initiatives. You will oversee semantic modeling strategy, ontology governance, and the technical direction of a cross-functional team across business, data engineering, and AI/ML domains.

You will lead end-to-end ontology lifecycle, collaborate with NLP/AI teams, and mentor a cohort of ontologists while aligning with enterprise standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 years hands-on ontology engineering and knowledge modeling experience.
• Experience delivering production-grade ontologies in enterprise or large consulting environments.
• Lead, principal, or architect-level responsibilities with standards and roadmap ownership.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or PhD) in a relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end ontology lifecycle from requirements to deployment and stewardship.
• Define enterprise ontology architecture and URI/versioning strategies.
• Lead cross-functional alignment with domain ontologies and governance teams.
• Mentor ontologists and manage delivery timelines and risk.
• Collaborate with NLP/AI teams to integrate ontology-guided pipelines.
