Job summary

Red Cliffs Zion is seeking an experienced kitchen assistant to support the Executive Chef in daily operations. You will prepare menu items, maintain quality and presentation, and train new staff to ensure consistent service across hotel outlets.

Responsibilities include coordinating kitchen activity, expediting orders, maintaining sanitation and safety standards, and executing recipes with precision in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years cooking experience, preferably high-volume.
• Food Handlers certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Executive Chef with daily kitchen operations and prepare items per standardized recipes.
• Train new culinary staff and expedite kitchen activities to ensure consistency in quality and presentation.
• Set up stations, monitor mise en place, and maintain sanitation and safety standards.
• Operate large-volume cooking equipment and adjust temperatures as needed.
• Assist with ordering and inventory coordination and respond to guest inquiries as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
