Job summary

Ajax Building Company, part of the STO Building Group, is seeking a driven Senior Project Manager to lead planning and execution of complex construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. You will partner with field leadership, subcontractors, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.

You will serve as the primary contact for owners, architects, and engineers while actively managing performance, cost, and risk to drive successful

Qualifications

• Must have 10+ years of construction project management experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field.
• General Contractor License preferred.
• Strong understanding of industry practices and trends affecting projects.
• Advanced interpersonal, communicative, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Hire, lead, and develop project personnel and assign responsibilities.
• Lead project execution with field teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to meet safety, schedule, and budget goals.
• Establish and implement project operating procedures for consistency and efficiency.
• Oversee budgets and schedules with proactive risk management.
• Review project performance and communicate status and risks to leadership.
• Manage procurement, material purchases, equipment rentals, and tools.
• Represent the company in communications and negotiations with owners and engineers.
• Oversee contract administration and cost approvals.
• Audit project activities from contract to warranty for profitability and compliance.
• Build strong relationships with project teams, clients, subcontractors, and partners.
• Promote safety, quality, and continuous improvement through initiatives.
