Job summary

Ajax Building Company, part of the STO Building Group, seeks a driven Project Manager to lead planning and execution of complex construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. In this role, you will partner closely with field leadership, subcontractors, and project stakeholders to deliver high-quality projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant construction project management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field.
• General Contractor License preferred.
• Strong understanding of industry practices and trends and their impact on the corporation.
• Advanced interpersonal, communicative, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Hire, lead, develop, and manage project personnel according to policies and project needs.
• Lead overall project execution, coordinating field teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
• Establish and implement project operating procedures to drive efficiency and outcomes.
• Oversee development and management of budgets and schedules with proactive risk management.
• Review project performance reports and keep leadership informed of status and risks.
• Manage procurement and approve material purchases, equipment rentals, and tools.
• Serve as primary company representative in communications with owners, architects, and engineers.
• Oversee contract administration and cost approvals for equipment and subcontractor scope.
• Audit and monitor project activities from contract execution through closeout and warranty.
• Build strong relationships with teams, clients, subcontractors, and partners.
• Promote safety, quality, and continuous improvement through initiatives like QIP.
