Job summary

The Matlen Silver Group, Inc. is seeking an Application / Production Support Engineer in Chandler, AZ to provide platform and production support for enterprise applications. The role emphasizes Java-based support, Oracle databases, and data workflows with Informatica PowerCenter/DataStage.

Ideal candidates will troubleshoot performance issues, monitor systems with Splunk, and work across teams to resolve complex incidents in a production environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in production or application support for enterprise applications.
• Strong Java application support and basic programming experience.
• Solid Oracle database knowledge.
• Ability to write and troubleshoot SQL.
• Experience with Informatica PowerCenter and/or Informatica DataStage.
• Experience supporting enterprise applications in a production environment.
• Ability to understand and explain an application's purpose, architecture, and technology stack.
• Experience troubleshooting application performance issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 production and application support for enterprise applications.
• Support applications built on Java/.NET technologies.
• Monitor application health and investigate production incidents.
• Troubleshoot application performance, availability, and data-related issues.
• Support Informatica PowerCenter/DataStage platforms and associated workflows.
• Use SQL and Oracle to investigate application and database issues.
• Review logs and monitoring data using Splunk and/or other monitoring tools.
• Analyze incidents, identify root causes, and coordinate resolution with development, database, infrastructure, and other support teams.
