Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Cary, NC is seeking a Prod Support engineer to troubleshoot complex production issues and improve application and platform stability. The role requires strong Linux/Unix administration, Java J2EE, Camunda workflows, and solid experience with monitoring and incident management.

You will work with global teams to validate changes, develop observability capabilities, and ensure SLAs are met for critical data feeds and messaging services.

Qualifications

• Strong Linux/Unix administration and network infrastructure knowledge.
• Experience in Java/J2EE and Camunda workflows.
• SQL querying and database troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with REST API monitoring and payload analysis (JSON/XML).
• GCP with OpenShift/Kubernetes administration and microservices support.
• Containerized application troubleshooting; SSL/certificate management; route connectivity.
• Experience with monitoring/observability tools: Geneos, Splunk, Grafana, New Relic; scheduling with Control-M.
• Kafka topic monitoring and integration troubleshooting with auth services.
• Excellent troubleshooting and independent problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues to improve stability and uptime.
• Review and validate application and platform changes with risk controls.
• Develop monitoring, alerting, and observability to maximize performance.
• Lead incidents, problem management, post-mortems, and root-cause analysis.
• Ensure data feeds and messaging meet SLAs with high availability.
• Collaborate with global teams and support escalation and disaster recovery coordination.
