Job summary

MO is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support our government client, the Department of Veterans Affairs. You will design, develop, and maintain enterprise Java applications, REST services, and modern backend systems, leveraging Java 17+, Spring Boot, and related technologies.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a technical field.
5–8 years of software development experience in a professional environment.
Strong hands on experience with Java development.
Hands-on experience developing REST APIs and web services.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise Java applications.
Analyze and resolve complex software defects and production issues.
Support enhancements and sustainment activities for applications utilizing Java, Spring Framework, Struts, JSP, EJB, JMS, WebLogic, Hibernate, Oracle, and related technologies.
Develop and optimize SQL queries and database integrations.
Contribute to automated testing, CI/CD processes, and application deployments.
Developing and maintaining backend services using Java 17+, Spring Boot, microservices, JPA/Hibernate, and REST APIs.
