Job summary

Elastic, the Search AI Company, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Elasticsearch team. You will help design and implement foundational infrastructure, services, and APIs to make Elasticsearch easy to use, fast, and secure across cloud and on-premise environments.

You will lead cross‑team projects, tackle performance and concurrency challenges, and help developers be more productive by integrating automation into development workflows while collaborating with a broad Open Source

Qualifications

• Experience crafting APIs and reasoning about tradeoffs.
• Proficient in algorithms and data structures.
• Strong Java skills; knowledge of concurrency and standard libraries.
• Hands-on CI/CD experience (Buildkite, Argo CD, GitOps).
• Experience leading large-scale projects across teams.
