Job summary

Cribl, a remote‑first data observability company, seeks a Sr Information Systems Engineer to own Cribl's core corporate systems—identity, endpoints, cloud infrastructure, and IT automation—delivering reliability, security, and scale.

You will partner with Security, Enterprise Applications, and People teams to run Okta, AWS, ServiceNow, MDM, and a growing SaaS integrations stack, ensuring safe usage and clear runbooks.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in corporate IT roles with significant responsibility for systems administration across identity, SaaS, and/or infrastructure in a cloud‑first environment, balancing project work and on‑call duties.
• Hands‑on, production experience with AWS (IAM, VPCs, EC2/ECS) supporting internal IT or SaaS platforms.
• Hands‑on administration of ServiceNow or a similar enterprise ITSM platform, including workflow configuration, catalog items, change/incident processes, and basic reporting.
• Direct production experience with an enterprise identity provider (Okta strongly preferred; Azure AD/Entra ID or similar acceptable) including SSO, lifecycle management, and access policies.
• Demonstrated ownership of macOS and/or Windows endpoint management in a mid‑to‑large fleet, including baseline configs, software distribution, and patch management.
• Experience with at least one scripting language (Python, PowerShell, Bash) and comfort with REST APIs/JSON.
• Comfortable working autonomously in a fast‑moving distributed environment.

Responsibilities

• Own administration of Cribl's core corporate systems—identity, endpoints, cloud infrastructure, and IT automation balancing reliability, security, and scalability.
• Design and maintain automation workflows across IT systems (Okta Workflows, Serval, Zapier, PowerShell/Python, APIs) and SaaS integrations (Okta, ServiceNow, Google Workspace, Slack, Azure/AWS).
• Serve as primary ServiceNow administrator for IT & Security, handling data model, catalog, workflows, SLAs, and integrations.
• Govern AI tools and MCP‑based agent frameworks in partnership with IT and Security, ensuring safe usage and clear runbooks.
• Provide Tier 3 escalation for incidents across identity, MDM, ServiceNow, and core platforms; participate in on‑call rotation and fleet reporting.
