Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking an IT Systems Engineer 4 to join the Security and Electronic Systems (SES) unit. The role covers design, engineering, integration, operation and maintenance of secure electronic security and IT systems for federal, local and commercial customers.

Qualifications include TS/SCI with poly, a STEM degree and 7+ years in system solutions for security and IT, plus DoD IA requirements and strong scripting abilities. This is a high-impact, federal-facing engineering position.

Qualifications

• Must have TS/SCI w/ polygraph clearance.
• Bachelor’s Degree; 7+ years progressive experience; Master’s desirable.
• 3+ years experience delivering system solutions for physical security and IT systems.
• Experience eliciting requirements, researching, designing, testing, and implementing hardware/software solutions for data center and virtual infrastructure.
• Experience with DoD IT security requirements including DISA STIG/SRGs.
• Experience with API management and scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, JSON, Bash).
• Strong oral, written and presentation skills; capable of communicating with leadership and technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and manage time to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Design architectural frameworks for large, complex resilient systems to meet stakeholder needs and performance requirements.
• Provide technical direction for requirements development, design, integration and testing of components.
• Assist with automation and optimization of engineering processes.
• Conduct system engineering assessments, migrations, and lifecycle refreshes with feasible design solutions.
• Collaborate with industry partners and OEMs to implement latest capabilities for customer needs.
• Document system architecture, design, and verification plans; create technical implementation plans.
• Interface with Government on SE considerations and resolve issues.
• Review WBS, IMS, and system documentation for accuracy and completeness.
