Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking a Security Systems Engineer 3 to join the Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business unit.

You will design, integrate, and maintain electronic security and IT systems for federal, local, and commercial clients, ensuring compliance with ICD 705 and related government standards. Responsibilities include hands-on installation, testing, and deployment, plus collaboration with Design/Install and Operations teams to deliver secure, reliable infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Clearance: ACTIVE SECRET with ability to obtain TS/SCI is REQUIRED.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or IT with 3+ years (Master) or 5+ years (Bachelor) of relevant experience.
• Experience with security and IT systems across access control, video, perimeter, and IT platforms.
• Strong Windows Server and AD administration, scripting, and data center networking fundamentals.
• Experience building secure, reliable solutions that meet Cybersecurity requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist design, install, configure, test, and maintain enterprise physical security and IT systems.
• Lead tasks independently and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
• Diagnose complex system issues and implement improvements and automation.
• Document infrastructure designs, plans, test and transition procedures.
• Perform security updates and ensure posture with security standards.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science / Electrical Engineering / Systems Engineering / related field

Master’s Degree (preferred)
