Job summary

Klaviyo is seeking a Senior IT Systems Engineer to own and scale our enterprise systems across identity, endpoint management, and SaaS platforms. You will lead end-to-end projects, from SSO rollouts to complex integrations, with high autonomy and a clear ownership mindset.

This role emphasizes AI fluency, automation, and secure, scalable operations. You’ll collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Security teams, balancing rapid delivery with robust governance.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on experience as a systems engineer or systems administrator, with a track record of owning enterprise systems in production.
• You define problem statements yourself, scope them, align with stakeholders, and deliver with minimal direction.
• Deep working knowledge across IT systems, including device management, identity and access management, and endpoint security.
• Experience deploying and managing macOS/iOS devices at scale via MDM (Jamf preferred). Windows management (Intune/Autopilot) is a strong plus.
• Administered core SaaS platforms (Google Workspace, Slack, Atlassian, Zoom) and their security controls.
• Hands-on experience with IdP configuration: SSO, SCIM provisioning, groups/roles, and app onboarding (Okta/Entra ID preferred).
• AI proficiency: using AI tools to research, write, and debug code; integrating AI into workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own enterprise systems reliability, security, and roadmap for identity, endpoint management, and core SaaS platforms.
• Lead end-to-end projects, design solutions, plan rollout and rollback, and document changes.
• Turn ambiguous business needs into clear problem statements and scalable systems.
• Set the technical bar with least-privilege access, automation, and runbooks for the team to operate from.
• Define success metrics upfront and prove them with data on tickets deflected and provisioning time saved.
• Mentor engineers and provide direct, actionable feedback.
• Act as a technical escalation point and drive root-cause analysis to prevent repeat incidents.
