Job summary

Klaviyo is seeking a Senior IT Systems Engineer to own enterprise systems across identity, endpoint management, and SaaS platforms. You will lead end-to-end projects from SSO/SCIM rollouts to complex integrations, partnering with operations, engineering, Security, and the IT Searchbar team.

This senior individual contributor role emphasizes AI-assisted workflows, automation by default, and high autonomy with no direct reports.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on experience as a systems engineer or systems administrator.
• Ability to define problem statements, scope with stakeholders, and deliver with minimal direction.
• Deep knowledge across IT systems: device management, IAM, and endpoint security.
• Experience deploying macOS/iOS at scale via MDM (Jamf); Windows management (Intune) is a plus.
• Administered core SaaS platforms such as Google Workspace, Slack, Atlassian, and Zoom.
• Experience with IdP configuration: SSO, SCIM provisioning, group/role design; Okta or Entra ID preferred.
• AI proficiency: using AI in workflows, automation, and tooling.
• Scripting: Bash, PowerShell, or Python; AWS Lambda a plus.
• REST APIs, authentication, and building cross-system integrations.
• Strong written communication and audit-ready documentation.
• Participation in after-hours on-call rotation is expected.

Responsibilities

• Own the identity, endpoint, and core SaaS platforms’ reliability and roadmap.
• Lead end-to-end projects, plan rollout and rollback, and ensure testing/docs.
• Turn ambiguous business needs into defined problems and scalable systems.
• Set security controls, least-privilege access, and automated runbooks.
• Define success metrics with data on tickets deflected, provisioning time saved, and gaps closed.
• Mentor engineers and provide direct, actionable feedback.
• Act as technical escalation point and drive root cause to prevent recurrence.
