Job summary

Klaviyo is hiring an IT Systems Engineer to design, implement, and maintain enterprise systems across the company. You’ll work on SSO/SCIM projects, multi-tool integrations, and automation to scale operations.

You’ll collaborate with operations, engineering, and the IT Searchbar team to keep systems healthy and secure. As a hands-on, high-learning role, you’ll use AI to accelerate tasks, write documentation, and troubleshoot with a senior-engineering mindset.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in IT support, systems administration, or systems engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands-on experience with core SaaS platforms (Google Workspace, Jamf, Slack, Atlassian, Zoom).
• Ability to identify problems and collaborate with stakeholders for solutions.
• Foundational IT systems knowledge including device management, identity, and endpoint security.
• Experience deploying and managing macOS/iOS via MDM (Jamf preferred).
• Interest in automating workflows and repetitive tasks.
• Experience or willingness to learn IdP configuration, SSO (SAML/OIDC), and SCIM provisioning (Okta/Entra ID a plus).
• Understanding of access controls and SOC 2 / SOX compliance requirements.
• AI proficiency: using AI to research, script, document, and debug, with ability to justify AI-assisted work.
• Scripting basics with Bash/PowerShell/Python; willingness to grow.
• Familiarity with identity lifecycle onboarding, role changes, offboarding.
• Comfort reading API docs and connecting systems using REST/JSON.
• Discipline in change management: test, document, communicate.
• Strong written communication and documentation habits.
• Participation in after-hours on-call rotation is required.

Responsibilities

• Own projects and tickets end-to-end from problem to rollout and documentation.
• Ship changes quickly to mission-critical systems with testing, peer review, and rollback plans.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to build tooling, integrations, and documentation.
• Maintain clean configurations, least-privilege access, and runbooks.
• Use telemetry and metrics to show project impact and success criteria.
• Ramp on new platforms quickly and leverage AI to accelerate learning and output.
