Job summary

Klaviyo in Boston, MA is seeking a Senior IT Systems Engineer to own the design, implementation, and long-term health of the enterprise systems, including identity, endpoint management, and the SaaS platforms. You will lead end-to-end projects from SSO/SCIM rollouts to complex multi-tool integrations, collaborating with operations, security, and engineering.

This senior IC role has high autonomy, no direct reports, and requires AI fluency to design AI-assisted workflows.

Qualifications

• Over 4 years of hands-on systems engineering experience in production environments.
• Ability to define problem statements, scope work, and drive alignment with stakeholders.
• Deep knowledge of device management, identity, access management, and endpoint security.
• Experience deploying macOS/iOS devices via MDM (Jamf) and Windows via Intune/Autopilot.
• Experience administering core SaaS like Google Workspace, Slack, Atlassian, and Zoom.
• Experience with IdP configuration: SSO, SCIM, group/role design; Okta or Entra ID preferred.
• Automation by default using Bash, PowerShell, or Python; AWS Lambda is a plus.
• REST APIs, JSON, authentication, and building cross-system integrations.
• Strong documentation and change-management practice.
• Willingness to participate in after-hours on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Own enterprise systems reliability, security, and roadmap.
• Lead end-to-end projects: scoping, design, rollout, rollback, testing, and documentation.
• Turn ambiguous needs into clear system statements and scalable solutions.
• Set technical standards: least privilege, automation, and runbooks.
• Define success metrics and verify with data.
• Mentor engineers and provide constructive feedback.
• Serve as escalation point and drive root-cause analysis.
