Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Customer-focused IT Support Specialist II for the Sterling, VA office. The role combines hands‑on desktop support with Microsoft 365 administration, supporting ~200 onsite users and a nationwide remote base.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in end‑user computing, strong communication, and ITIL familiarity. This contract position offers 70% onsite and 30% remote work, with a competitive hourly pay range.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in desktop support or service desk environments.
Experience providing both onsite and remote support in a distributed enterprise.
Experience with Windows 10/11 administration and troubleshooting.
Experience supporting Microsoft 365 apps and services.
Experience with Active Directory and Entra ID (Azure AD) administration.

Responsibilities

Provide onsite and remote end‑user support for Windows, Microsoft 365, mobile devices, and related hardware/software.
Troubleshoot and resolve desktop, laptop, OS, application, and connectivity issues.
Respond to incidents and service requests within established SLAs.
Escalate complex issues to Infrastructure, Networking, Security, or Engineering teams.
Document troubleshooting steps and resolutions in the ITSM platform.
Deploy, configure, and support Windows devices and Intune‑managed devices.
Assist with onboarding/offboarding and device lifecycle management.
Collaborate with Help Desk, Infrastructure, Security, Networking, and Engineering teams.
