Job summary

Rocket Lab USA is seeking a Senior IT Support Specialist to provide on-site IT services at the SolAero Office in Albuquerque (SOL). You will collaborate with IT teams, mentor junior staff, and own more complex tasks and projects in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

The role covers incident, request, problem, change, and project ticketing; supports Launch and Mission Operations; and requires flexibility for shifts, travel, and ITAR compliance for US operations.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of IT support or service experience and a high school diploma.
• Experience with Windows or Linux desktop OS imaging, maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Experience with PC hardware assembly and disassembly.
• Understanding of TCP/IP/DNS networking and basic troubleshooting.
• Experience with Active Directory and Group Policy.
• Familiarity with AI platforms to craft prompts and evaluate outputs.

Responsibilities

• Carry out day-to-day IT services delivery.
• Track and update tickets and related documentation.
• Build relationships and be SME for IT Support.
• Provide instruction, guidance, and technical support to teams.
• Provide support to Launch and Mission Operation during launch periods.
• Occasional international and domestic travel.
• Shift flexibility including evenings, weekends, and on-call rotation.
