Job summary

NW Natural is seeking a Senior IT SOX/Operational Auditor to lead the annual IT SOX Audit Plan and execute testing of IT general controls, automated application controls, and key reporting processes. This role collaborates with the business controls office, IT compliance, and external auditors to ensure comprehensive coverage and high-quality audit evidence.

The position also supports IT operational audits, drafts findings and practical remediation actions, and drives cross-functional engagement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, or related field.
• Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) required.
• Minimum of five (5) years of IT SOX audit experience.
• Experience with NIST CSF and COBIT guidance; risk assessments.
• Experience scoping and executing IT operational audits; reporting findings.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of the annual IT SOX Audit Plan.
• Execute IT SOX testing of general and application controls and key reports.
• Document walkthroughs and evaluate IT controls design and operating effectiveness.
• Perform baseline and benchmark testing of SOX-relevant reports; develop test steps.
• Drive cross-functional stakeholder engagement and timely status reporting.
• Support IT Audit Program Manager and audit team in IT operational audits and year-end activities.
