Job summary

NW Natural seeks an experienced Senior IT SOX/Operational Auditor to lead the annual IT SOX audit plan and testing across IT controls and key reports. The role partners with the business controls office, IT compliance, and external auditors to ensure alignment with expectations.

Responsibilities include walkthroughs, control design assessment, and documenting audit work while supporting IT operational audits and the year-end financial statement audit as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, or related field.
• CISA certification is required.
• 5+ years IT SOX audit experience.
• Experience with baseline and benchmark testing of key reports.
• Ability to work independently with limited oversight.
• Experience with NIST CSF and COBIT risk guidance.
• Experience with IT risk assessments and COBIT mappings.
• Experience with SAP, data analytics tools, and AuditBoard preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of the annual IT SOX Audit Plan.
• Execute IT SOX testing including IT general controls and automated reports.
• Document walkthroughs and evaluate IT general controls design and operation.
• Assess operating effectiveness of IT SOX controls through testing.
• Perform testing of key SOX-relevant reports and controls.
• Develop audit procedures and remediation recommendations.
• Coordinate with business controls office, IT compliance, and external auditors.
