Job summary

NW Natural seeks a Senior IT SOX/Operational Auditor (Non-Union) to lead the annual IT SOX Audit Plan and drive testing of IT general controls and key reports. This remote-friendly role supports internal controls over financial reporting and requires a strong IT audit background.

With 5+ years in IT SOX audits and a CISA certification, you’ll assess controls using NIST CSF/COBIT, collaborate with stakeholders, and contribute to continuous improvements across IT risk and compliance functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, or a related field.
• CISA certification is required.
• Minimum of five (5) years of IT SOX audit experience.
• Experience with IT controls testing and reporting aligned with internal controls over financial reporting.
• Experience with NIST CSF and COBIT guidance; SAP and AuditBoard preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of the annual IT SOX Audit Plan.
• Execute and report on IT SOX testing of general controls, automated application controls, and key reports.
• Document SOX testing work thoroughly to support conclusions.
• Drive stakeholder engagement and ensure timely testing plan execution.
• Support IT operational audits including risk-based scoping and reporting.
