Job summary

NW Natural seeks an experienced Senior IT SOX/Operational Auditor (Non-Union) to lead the annual IT SOX Audit Plan and testing. The role collaborates with business controls offices, IT compliance, and external auditors to ensure effective testing and alignment with expectations.

It also supports IT operational audits and year-end financial statements. The candidate should have a CISA certification, 5+ years of IT SOX audit experience, and familiarity with SAP, data analytics tools, and

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, or a related field.
• CISA certification is required.
• Public accounting and publicly traded company experience preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years of IT SOX audit experience.
• Experience with SAP, data analytics tools, and AuditBoard preferred.
• Experience with NIST CSF and COBIT guidance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of the annual IT SOX Audit Plan.
• Execute IT SOX testing including IT general controls and automated application controls.
• Plan and conduct control walkthroughs to evaluate IT general controls.
• Evaluate operating effectiveness of IT SOX controls through testing.
• Document SOX testing work thoroughly with audit evidence.
• Drive cross-functional stakeholder engagement for IT SOX testing.
• Lead IT operational audits and develop risk-based IT audit scopes.
• Support year-end financial statement audit with required documentation.
