Job summary

NW Natural is seeking a Senior IT SOX/Operational Auditor (Non-Union) to lead and execute the annual IT SOX Audit Plan, test IT general and automated controls, and coordinate with business controls, IT compliance, and external auditors. The role also supports IT operational audits and risk-based scopes within Internal Audit.

The ideal candidate has a CISA, 5+ years of IT SOX experience, and strong knowledge of NIST CSF and COBIT.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, or a related field.
• Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) is required.
• Public accounting and publicly traded company experience preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years of IT SOX audit experience.
• Experience performing baseline and benchmark testing of key reports supporting internal controls over financial reporting.
• Proven ability to work independently with strong attention to detail.
• Experience with IT risk assessments using COBIT guidance and mapping risks to COBIT controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of the annual IT SOX Audit Plan.
• Execute and report on IT SOX testing including IT general controls and automated application controls.
• Plan and document walkthroughs to evaluate IT general controls design.
• Evaluate operating effectiveness of IT SOX controls through testing.
• Perform testing of key SOX-relevant reports and provide audit evidence.
• Develop test steps and procedures for new IT controls and key reports.
• Drive cross-functional stakeholder engagement for IT SOX testing.
• Document testing work thoroughly to support conclusions for external auditors.
• Support year-end financial statement audits with required documentation.
• Lead IT operational audits including risk-based scopes and walkthroughs.
