Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. is seeking a Lead Category Sourcing Manager for IT software in a hybrid role. You will manage complex software contracts, lead negotiations, and drive strategic sourcing globally across IT procurement teams.

You will partner with IT, Finance, Legal, and Cybersecurity; leverage your leadership and analytical skills to optimize supplier performance while delivering multi-year savings. A Bachelor’s degree is expected, MBA preferred.

Qualifications

• 9+ years Procurement (Strategic Sourcing, Contract Management) experience with global, complex, strategic initiatives/ corporate environment required.
• 5+ years IT Technology category (software, IT related labor) required. Software focus required.
• VAR/reseller management experience.
• Demonstrated stakeholder management across IT, Finance, Legal, Cybersecurity, and business teams.
• Proven leadership, transformation, and ability to operate independently with minimal ramp-up.
• Core competencies: Analytical Skills, Project/Time Management, Problem Solving, Communication/ Presentation, Results Orientation, Contract Interpretational Accuracy, Relationship Building, Business & Professional Acumen.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate IT contract renewals: lead complex negotiations with senior IT stakeholders and focus on Software with multi-year savings.
• Plan/Execute Strategic Sourcing Initiatives, evaluate vendors, negotiate/award, contract management, SRM, governance, and reporting.
• IT escalation lead: central contact for IT escalations for MSP and internal IT software procurement team.
• IT day-to-day contract management operations: review contracts, approvals, tracking, and SOP improvements.
