Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. seeks a Lead Category Sourcing Manager for IT software in a hybrid role. You will drive contract renewals, vendor selection, and governance while collaborating with senior IT stakeholders to deliver significant multi-year savings.

You will leverage global sourcing, SRM, and strategic procurement best practices to optimize software licenses and related services, reporting to senior leadership and supporting cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

9+ years Procurement (Strategic Sourcing, Contract Management) experience with global, complex initiatives.
5+ years IT Technology category (software) experience.
VAR/reseller management experience.
Demonstrated stakeholder management across IT, Finance, Legal, Cybersecurity, and business teams.
Proven leadership and ability to operate independently with minimal ramp-up.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Strategy, Finance, IT, CS, Engineering, Legal or quantitative discipline; MBA preferred.
Expert Excel proficiency; strong contract negotiation skills.
Core competencies: analytical skills, project/time management, problem solving, communication/presentation, results orientation, contract interpretation, relationship building.

Responsibilities

Negotiate IT contract renewals, lead complex license negotiations with senior IT stakeholders.
Plan and execute strategic sourcing initiatives; evaluate vendors and negotiate/award.
IT escalation lead as central point of contact for MSP and VIPs.
Execute IT software procurement with contract review, approvals, and SOP improvements.
