Job summary

Specialty1 Partners is seeking an IT Server Engineer to design, deploy, maintain, and optimize our server infrastructure across on‑premises and cloud environments. You will ensure availability, performance, and security for mission-critical apps across multiple dental practices and systems.

The role requires leading cloud migrations, implementing virtualization strategies, and driving automation to improve efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 8+ years of IT experience.
• 3-5+ years of experience with Data Center infrastructure and virtualization technologies.
• Experience with Microsoft OS, Citrix, VMware, Unix, and Linux.
• Knowledge of IT security best practices and regulatory requirements (HIPAA a plus).

Responsibilities

• Hyper-V Administration.
• Lead and support cloud migration initiatives across Azure, AWS, or hybrid.
• Virtualization platform management and cloud-based infrastructure design.
• Manage multiple infrastructure projects with deadlines and SLAs.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts (PowerShell, Bash) for provisioning, patching, monitoring.
• Identify opportunities to improve performance, scalability, and reliability through automation.
• Troubleshoot complex server, virtualization, storage, and OS issues across on-prem and cloud.
• Collaborate with network, security, and application teams to ensure compliance.
