Job summary

Sound Physicians is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to lead large, cross-functional technology initiatives in a remote contract role (~12 months). You will manage software development using Agile, coordinate with vendors, and ensure governance under SOX. Experience with payroll product launches is a plus.

Strong communication and risk management are essential. The role requires 10+ years of PM experience, PMP certification, and proficiency with Azure DevOps, Jira, and Microsoft 365.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 10+ years of project management experience leading business, technology, and/or process improvement projects.
• PMI PMP certification required.

Responsibilities

• Lead, plan, and execute cross-functional projects from initiation to completion.
• Develop and maintain project plans, roadmaps, and timelines.
• Manage scope, risks, dependencies, and deliverables; escalate blockers.
• Serve as primary stakeholder liaison and align objectives with goals.
• Provide mentorship to junior PMs and drive continuous learning.
