Job summary

The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) seeks a Senior Procurement Coordinator to oversee IT procurement for the IT Division and support the General Services Division. You will train staff, manage ITBs and RFPs, and audit purchase orders across six districts and the GO.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor's degree and 7 years of related experience, with strong knowledge of NM Procurement Code, NMAC, MAPS, and SHARES. A background in contracts and customer service is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and seven years directly related experience.
• 11+ years total education/experience may substitute for the required education and experience.
• Experience with IT equipment, hardware, software, and maintenance agreements procurement.

Responsibilities

• Support procurement activities for the IT Division and the General Services Division of the NMDOT.
• Articulate procurement language for IT equipment, hardware, software, and maintenance agreements to develop ITBs, RFPs, and statewide price agreements.
• Frequent communication and coordination with internal and external customers.
• Working knowledge of the NM Procurement Code, NM Administrative Code (NMAC), MAPS, and CFRs.
• Administrative duties are also required as part of this position.
