Job summary

Carvana is hiring a Senior Buyer, Procurement to drive IT procurement, supplier negotiations, and data-driven reporting. You will own the end-to-end PO lifecycle, including issuing POs, expediting, and ensuring timely supplier payments.

The role requires strong analytical skills, experience with ERP platforms, and a collaborative approach across teams to optimize procurement processes and budgets. Arizona-based, on-site role with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or relevant field and 5+ years experience, OR 8+ years in Procurement or Accounting.
• CPSM certification is a plus.
• Experience with Coupa or other leading ERP/e-procurement platforms.
• Proficient in SQL, SnowFlake, MS Excel, and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Leading the IT Procurement process; interface with Carvana Technology Services leadership on contract renewals and new contracts.
• Negotiating favorable contract renewals and net-new contracts; work with Carvana Legal.
• Collect, compile and analyze data; provide reports using MS SQL and Snowflake, with AI coding tools experience.
• Own and manage the entire PO procurement process: issuing POs, order acknowledgments, expediting, and supplier payments.
• Communicate PO status to requesters and stakeholders as needed.
• Receive and execute ad-hoc requests outside procurement system across the business.
• Maintain procurement budgets; ensure cost efficiency and fiscal responsibility.
• Follow up on invoice discrepancies as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
